Ivory&Gold, Oliver Moore

Superstars Jeff and Anne Barnhart, aka Ivory&Gold®, have invited local pianist Oliver Moore to join them in what will be a most-unique, bring-the-house-down, two-part concert. Jeff and Anne open the concert wide variety of styles from Ragtime to Swing, Broadway and Jazz, featuring piano, flute and vocals. Jeff leads off the second half accompanying a Buster Keaton silent film. Oliver then takes over with solo performance. Jeff then joins Oliver for a couple of duo-piano, joint-jumpin' pieces. Jeff and Ann will close the concert with something very special.

The duo, consisting of Anne Barnhart on flute and vocals with Jeff Barnhart on piano and vocals, was formed in 2001 to perform to great acclaim at the prestigious annual Jazz Festival in Sun Valley, Idaho. Subsequently, Ivory&Gold® has been invited to appear in hundreds of venues from coast-to-coast including The Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale, AZ, the Twin Falls Center for the Arts, The Tempe Center for the Arts, The Kerr Cultural Arts Center in Phoenix, AZ, The Tulsa Performing Arts Center, the Wolfboro Friends of Music Concert Series in Wolfboro, NH, and an annual concert at the Reutlinger-Brune Victorian Palace in San Francisco to name a few. Jeff and Anne are regular performers at the West Coast Ragtime Festival in Sacramento, CA.

Jeff holds the master class for annual winners of the related Youth Ragtime Piano Competition. Oliver won the 2016 competition. Jeff working with Oliver at the master class was the inspiration for this concert.

Oliver Moore, now 16, placed second in the junior division of the prestigious 2017 Old Time Piano Playing Contest held in Oxford, Mississippi. Oliver approaches the keyboard with highly personal sensitivity that engages the listener. His arrangements of familiar tunes are fresh and exciting. Here's a preview of what to expect.

The concert is followed by open-pianos afterglow. Guests are encouraged to bring instruments and join in.
As always, there will be a selection light foods, wine and other beverages during intermission.

Tickets are $25. Students or children under 18 are $15 with paying adult.
